We just adopted a border collie puppy last week. She is only 7.5 weeks old today. Here is little Tia Maria with Misty who has happily taken on the role of mother, babysitter and playmate.

OK, I was shooting today for the challenge....


But how do you compete with a picture of a puppy? Tess did the peaceful, I'm the cutest puppy in the word" shot for her entry. SO, I've got one of those....


But I may go for one of these too... guys like fighting and biting and stuff like that..




Oh and if you haven't read it yet.. there's a contest for pet shots this week... I wouldn't want anyone to be confused about when it was and miss out. The prize is you get to be the judge for next week's contest... I know, I know... just what you always wanted, it's so exciting!

Ha ha, but she's cute when she's sleeping. She's already got the "I can't play without growling" thing happening. Lot's of attitude already. And when she gets frustrated she just takes a run a Misty jumps and throws her whole body weigh at her, not that it accomplishes anything (9 pound dog running into a 40 pound dog), but she pushes and fights like she's got the upper hand, until Misty puts her paw down and squashes her. Even then, there's no quit in that dog.

Oh I know that one well with our English Springer!

He growls and snarls like a fighting dog in a pit when he's on the opposite end of a length of rope or his rubber bone. However, while the front end is making noises like a dog from Hades the stump on the rear end is just a blur as it's wagging so fast!

Our foster dog gave birth to 7 puppies (so far) today. The vet from the rescue center thought we would have a couple of more weeks before the big event. She was a little off on her estimation.
