I'm just lucky Tess has never posted one of me, looking like that over a bad penalty. Except i usually jump up and do a walk around the kitchen island to cool down.

Luna is such a trim & fit, loving the exercise dog. Annabelle, on the other hand, is easily defeated by a patch of sunshine.
She sure is! If we don't get her out on a good walk (or several) daily she really harasses us! Cute kitty!

Not mine, but a story of Ollie, who was lost today, and had a tag, with a contact number, which I called, and his owner came to fetch him half an hour later. Turns out she goes for a jog with Ollie, but Ollie does not like the leash, so she lets him run without one, except he ran who-knows-where, and I found him at a local park, miles from where he lives. Felt rather sorry for Ollie as he attached himself to just about any car, or person that came by. His owner was most grateful. Ollie is a very nice, but very naughty hound, and this is not the first time it has happened. Notice the muddied feet, as he has been running around in some muddy puddles.

Ollie is damn lucky I'd say.

Coincidently, I had a text interaction today with a person who'd posted "lost dog" signs around the park. They'd been up for over a week and I just noticed a new one (with "reward" added) so I concluded it was looking like a lost cause. I was feeling bad for them so I sent a text to let them know Princess and I were keeping an eye out for 'Rose' in our walks in the park and they responded to thank us and say that they'd just gotten her back. So that's lucky dog #2.

For lost dog stories: My much loved Sheltie ran off in the woods one day. Got her back 23 days later about 20 miles away from an anonymous tip via telephone from someone who wasn't interested in the reward I was having announced on the radio. Maddy had a way of getting into trouble.

Yes he is! If he were mine, I'd find a way to make him 'like' the leash - the next time may not end as nicely!

Not my pet but I saw this guy while I took a lunch hour skate today. Luna will not go on the ice and just barks at me from the shore but this pup seems to love it! He was pushing a hockey puck around under his front paws here and having a great time!

I wonder what is on his mind? Does he want to puncture my jugular or just scratch my eyes out? I'm not sure which, but I'm just glad he lacks the ability to speak his mind. Although, I would be interested in how a cat swears...

One thing - among many - that fascinates me about cats is how they can go from a deep sleep to full-race predator mode in a split second. Takes me what seems like five minutes to go from horizontal to vertical.

lost dog stories?

two of our four are abandoned dogs - we live in the country and people drive out, dump the dog, and keep driving....

these two, Finnegan and Stormy, found their way here and here they'll stay:

makes us wonder how awful people can be, but we keep and love them just the same.... the other two, the intentionals, if you will:
