I wouldn't drink from this spot because there is a couple of miles of open water above it with ample opportunity for contamination (deer & elk poop).
But we did see a couple of springs that are the source of this water and I'd be comfortable drinking right from where it surfaces if I needed to.
There is a roadside tapped spring nearby that we do collect water from whenever we pass by. It's cold, delicious, and just fantastic and gets tested regularly so we know it's safe. I only drink wild water if I'm very confident about it and/or VERY thirsty (like lost and out of water thirsty).
