It sure is. That little J-curve in the tail says: "I know you are there"

Escaping the AC into the blistering heat this past weekend. The pug, who we were dogsitting, was amazing in that she could actually nap in the sun...

I thought I would try my Rikenon f2 50mm on my K-50. This is SOOC at f2 focussing by judgment after deciding catch-in-focus wasn't quite there. I focussed on the eyes and thought it wasn't too bad for a 35 year old lens.

Princess was attacked by another dog on a walk in the neighborhood about a month ago. Fortunately, her wounds were superficial but--between the attack and the treatment--she had a rough two or three weeks.

She's pretty much back to normal now--keeping in mind that, at her age (15), ''normal" means "in decline". She was perky enough to call shotgun for the drive back from a walk in the park with my daughter.

Jeannie on the trails recently. The paved walkways have been built over the last couple years and are very nice (with more coming!).

Really disturbing when that happens. At one of the agility meets several years ago, a sign was up asking for donations to help cover medical expenses for a Sheltie puppy that had been savaged by a neighbor's dog. The big dog had torn open the poor puppy's abdomen and done damage to internal organs. BTW: the puppy recovered - saw at that trial and it was just a happy fluffy, floppy thing the way a puppy should be. Pretty much everyone gave something to help the owners repay the debt they'd run up.

Princess still loves getting in the stream but she's very cautious now due to her failing sight and mobility.

A friend of mine recently witnessed an elderly woman with a walker walking with her two small dogs when a car pulled up to the river park where they were and let out to very large great danes. One of the big dogs immediately attacked one of the little ones, picking it up and shaking it. The small dog was mortally wounded and the couple with the big dogs just jumped in the car and took off. My friend took the woman and her dog to the vet and the small dog later died from its wounds. The couple with the big dogs has not been located.
