The volleyball pit is a favorite:
On hot days Tralee will sometimes scratch off a cooling spot along a trail, but no more than that.

Tralee during a walk toward the end of summer. The lens fogged up some when I pulled off the cap, so the image is just a bit soft or misty-looking.

Backcountry skiing with my buddy and his dog, Clyde yesterday. I think Clyde had a good time.

A dog running with tail up and ears flapping. Definitely an uplifting image. And the human looks OK as well.

Yeah, we all had fun! Although the snow was thin. I think my buddy is laughing because he just hit a log or something under the snow that I can see just behind his pole. Lots of hazards right now! Thankfully it's snowing again so I hope that stuff will be buried soon. It was more of an adventure than good quality skiing but that will change as it gets deeper.

Tralee perched on something, a log in this case, and expecting to get a treat for doing it.

Well, here she is atop a rock a little further along the trail, expecting another treat,so she must have liked what I gave her. The treats are small, dry, flavored dog training treats. She much prefers the soft, chewy "Pup-peroni" or "Snausage," but she only gets those after a completing a run at an agility trial. The fat content, as well as the calories, are too high to offer them every time she jumps on a rock, stump, or fallen tree trunk..
