Reminds me of a quote from "Star Wars": "Will someone get this walking carpet out of my way???"; though your walking carpet don't seem to do much walking. I've got a friend with a Great Pyrenees with similar habits. My last dog, Ruger, was one-quarter English Bullmastiff, had some of that habit - used to lie down smack-dab in the middle of the landing at the top of the stairs that went from the entrance to the living room. I reckon that was so he could control possible intruder-alert situations. Only two problems with that dog - I had to take a towell with me to the doggy park to wipe off the other dogs that Ruger would "slime" with his slobbering, and secondly, well, I didn't get my money's worth out of that dog, he died of leukemia at five and a half years old. Too bad, he was a hundred and twenty pounds of big black sweetie.

And, hey! Good thing the "action" in that picture doesn't include chewing up your shoes.

Dlh: I debated whether or not I was going to put that photo up because most of the PF members are detail oriented and I'm thinking--great there are shoes....But, Howard will basically follow me around the house. He's a senior citizen now at 9 1/2 years old, but I'm happy he's still with us. By the way, he weighs 174 lbs.

Annabelle in the early AM sun. I'd say she's struggling to stay awake, but she never expends significant effort on that.
