Something you might be grateful for - - Our daughter's Sheltie, Vaila Brae, long gone but still missed, liked to roll in other dogs' deposits. One day she found a mass left by a much bigger dog that had diarrhea, and before I could stop her she rolled and covered herself with great drippy globs of it. She had a smell that would nauseate a troll
. My own Sheltie, Maddy, didn't want to get into the back of the SUV with her. Despite needing to leave quickly for work, I had to give VB an emergency bath as soon as we got home because I was pretty sure M would be annoyed if I just left her running around the house and going to sleep on the sofa. Be grateful for a dog that only gets muddy and that doesn't mind being washed.
