Jeannie celebrated her 13th birthday last November. This photo was taken in 2010, when she was just 3

Tasi playing around at the park this morning, while I was playing around with the best worst lens ever (Helios 40).

There was another husky there with a more unusual case of heterochromia. One eye was half brown, half blue, while the other was brown with one shard of blue at the bottom.

It's like a more extreme version of the Helios 44, near Lensbaby levels of wild bokeh. It's an 85mm f/1.5 lens, and it's huge and heavy, about 2 pounds (900 grams). Mine is the original silver version from the 60's. Zenit recently resumed production, which brought prices down a little, but old copies are still on the expensive side for a Soviet lens. It's a pain to use, with unpredictable rendering, but it's really rewarding when an image comes together.

Anyway, congratulations on the FA43 purchase! I really like the one of Barney.

My absurdly photogenic Mabel. Taken with the K-1 and Voigtländer Ultron SL-ii 40mm f/2. Boy, oh boy, do I want more Voigtländer lenses if they're all as good as this!
