Dahlia prefers a gentle tummy rub, circular or from tail end up toward her chest. Now and then she'll stretch out her forelegs or twist a little in apparent pleasure, but mostly she chills out and slips into Sheltie dreamland.

We took the boys to "Big Dune" Amargosa valley NV. Loki has always loved sand.. He will play in the smallest pile. He was ecstatic to see the 500' high dune and could not resist rolling around in it. After about 10 minutes, they realized it was 100degrees F and bolted for the Jeep, the only shade around

Two more moments from the confrontation I posted above. Two pauses for evaluation and perhaps attempted intimidation. Annabelle (cat) is not the least intimidated by Dahlia, although she sometimes gets annoyed and will bat the dog on the nose at times. She never displays the ferocious puff-tailed anger that a house cat can call up at need.
