OK, I'm going to post a few pics I posted in the past.

This is in memory of my female Brindle Boxer "Siren". We had to put her down July 3, 2020, she was 9.5 years old.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Lovely dog, lovely pictures. I like the last one in particular: so endearing! ♥♥♥

I share your pain. Only those who have lost a well-loved dog before its time can appreciate the devastation of such an event. We lost our Sheltie Tralee in early October, and because we were away on a long-planned trip to Australia we couldn't even be there at the end to comfort her. It was crushing to get the call from the wonderful woman who had been caring for her. We have had other dogs, and we have a new Sheltie, but Tralee, because of events in our lives and the times we had with her, was special beyond explaining. She was just the age of your handsome dog, and like like Siren, she had earned more time. My heart aches with yours for Siren.

Thanks for the comments all.

Presto, I'm sorry to hear about your Sheltie, not being able to be there had to be painful.

Siren developed a brain tumor. We had her thoroughly checked out by our vet and specialist. The consencesses was not to put her through any kind of surgery at her age, the odds were stacked against her. So, they gave us a 6 month window and told us any extra time was bonus (She lasted 7 months). So we slowly watched her crash. Each seizure took away portions of her brain function until the last seizure on the 3rd of July finished her (it was a back to back episode), her brain capacity seemed to drop to an all time low and her equilibrium was shot, we had no choice at that point.

I have never been as close to a pet as I was with Siren. She was the best family dog we ever owned.

My deepest condolences. It's one of the things I fear most, losing either of my dogs. Hopefully, in time, your focus on the fantastic times will start to outweigh this initial period of grief.

Annabelle all wrapped up in herself, something she does very well and now that she's getting older, spends a great deal of time doing.

A dog has to keep cool

As soon as you dump the old warm water and put in new cold water (Our well is 200 feet deep, it's always cold), they start going in.

How can a dog love to play in the mud and cold water in a puddle in the wild and hate a warm, clean water bath at home? I blame Shampoo
