Ah, a Pentax joke!
Border collies keep us in shape. Every now and then we'd like a day off. Border collies expect to be out every day.

Cattle dogs are the same, though Blu has managed to injure himself and it looks like it may be a torn ligament I will find out Thursday, which means expensive surgery... and no long walks for him (and therefore less for me) for a couple of months

Misty Misty doesn't go on the walk, she sits on the deck making sure everything is in order down at the neighbours, and barking if anything is out of the ordinary.

Blu loves the snow, if it is deep when we walk he buries himself and rolls around in it .

The lady who runs the doggy day-care and play-group had a medical procedure scheduled for January so no days-off-from-walking that month, but then it got postponed to February so no days-off-from-walking for two months, then her physician prescribed an additional month of recovery so no days-off-from-walking for March as well. We enjoy our AM walks, but there's a big difference between seven days a week and only five days, leaving two when you could either walk (including places we cannot go with Dahlia) or just take a break. We'll be glad when she's back as Dahlia, like Tralee before her, really profits from play time with other dogs.

Luna is like that too. No days off!
Also, she would prefer 2 or 3 walks.

All our Shelties, upon returning from a walk, may initially be very animated, but within about 45 minutes they're asleep.
