My Maine Coon cat Hawkeye with my latest €12 acquisition (Pentacon 4 200).
The dealer sold it to me, because of "fog and fingerprints" in the lens…

I gave it a professional cleanup and tested it then. Fully open aperture - handheld.

With a cat like that, you definitely need a Pentax, Joerg!

Beautiful animal. I once owned a Norwegian Forest Cat, which is like a Maine Coon but looks like the second photo without the need for desaturation.

Take my picture at your own risk!

Hannah, fifteen years old and not at all impressed with my efforts sprawled out on the cold tile floor to get this shot.

Two more most excellent shots!
Sorry not to answer sooner, and thank you both.

I was really pleased to catch the sun light going in and out of the clouds.

Thanks, unfortunately since this was taken a year ago, she has progressively lost more sight, and they are seldom that blue.

But she is very healthy and gets around well. She's actually my son's family cat, but stayed with me while they moved last fall.

She's still here, we jointly decided the move would be too much for her and she is staying with me.

Since then she has completed my human training is quite comfortable!

I'm sorry she's lost some sight, but it sounds like she gets along well. They are amazingly adaptable. That's very nice of you to take your son's cat in.

And congratulations on completion of your training!

Well, not exactly a pet, but a temporary visitor at our house. This baby mallard was alone at a local pond when I spotted him following me & our dogs. He's staying with us until I can find a mama duck to adopt him, or when he can fly on his own. Fun watching him zip around in our pool . Here's a couple kit lens shots:
