Those shots look good Simon. You are right the Super Tak 135mm f3.5 is a nice sharp lens, even right from wide open I've found. Your list of Super Tak lenses is starting to look a lot like mine. But I see you have a few gaps that you could still fill up. Let's see, a 35mm f3.5, a 55mm f1.8 .........

Thanks for that Fritz ... I have the 50mm end covered really for now with the FA50 1.4 which i love to use.

Although if i can pick up a cheap 2nd body I will be happy ... one body for M42 and the other body strictly for K-mounts ... that will make life a little easier.

I was thinking of going wider though ... I was tempted at getting a Zenitar 16mm FE ... but I will see what else was available.

I have done enough buying for now ... and I am happy with what I have purchased ... so it is all good.

That's a cool effect ... was it long exposure or just fiddling with PP???

Just a snap to give the pet thread a bump.

Cleo was not thrilled to be photographed today.

Though I do like my new 40mm limited wide open.

Chaya was helping me test out a couple flashes fired through shoot through umbrellas the other day.

Hey everybody! Been away a long long time myself. I've been shooting... but I'm so sick of converting RAW to JPG, I'm way behind. This is from this past week tho.
....no, I still haven't sent my camera in to fix the rear LCD + all the other problems! Have to do it shortly as it's about to be out of warranty. I told you all I'm the worlds biggest & worst procrastinator!

Love seeing the staying power of this thread! For my addition... a bit of drama.

This [ahem] lovely "style statement" by Mimi...

...brought to you c/o these teeth of Nala's!

(please pardon the repost from the 1st or 2nd page of the thread; done 'cus this is the best example)

The above shot of Mini selected as it displays the result so well. Can't see the punctures on her left, but you can clearly see the swelling her lower right [on the left in the pic] from the stitches, where, as the doctor said, her lip & muscle was torn from the skeleton for several inches (I didn't actually get a stitch count; there was a -lot- of blood). And notice the one tooth off center sticking out... about to fall out... next to the other two teeth already missing from the two's 1st all-out confrontation about 2 years ago, when Nala ripped a Nyla Bone out of Mimi's mouth and took the 2 teeth with it, and loosened a molar too (which actually firmed back up in the gums instead of falling out surprisingly)

In retrospect it's becoming apparent why Nala, such a beautiful and extremely loving (to people) dog would be left in a Kennel for someone else to adopter her... Nala's going to a 5-week Doggie Bootcamp next week to learn how to live in a pack! If that doesn't do it, we'll probably have to give her up to a family w/o other dogs... :ugh:

WB m8o... I was wondering where you'd been. Sorry to hear about Nala, I hope puppy school fixes the problems
