Leave me alone, I'm tired.
This is abby, she is the poster child for pitt bulls. So sweet, and scared to death of the cat.

A dog and her frog...
Jeannie with her "security blanket" She doesn't look too secure in this shot, however!

New to the club!

I've been enjoying this thread for so long, thought it was about time make a small contribution.

Sooooo, the yard work is done for the day. Nice evening outside, what to do, what to do... Be nice to take some early evening photos, sure do wish I had a couple of good models.....hmmmmmmm. I'll bet the girls would like to spend a little time outdoors with the old man, and they would be GREAT models.....right?

So, we'll start with our sweet little silver-backed beagle, Dixie. I know she would just LOVE to model for the camera. Yeah, not so much........

OK, lets try loveable, friendly, good natured Leah, our chocolate Lab. "Sit Leah.......STAY Leah.......look this way Leah".......yeah, that didn't work out so well either...she just gave me the stink eye!

Dixie, with her opinion of my plans for the evening:

and Leah, making her intentions known:

Both taken with a K20D, and a new to me FA 80-320.

Thanks! Rosie is actually a really sweet dog, but she just happened to look kind of mean in that picture, like a bully dumping out a little kid's lunchbox.

Some breeds get a bad rap from a few stupid owners who expect their dogs to be vicious, and train them to be so. Or maybe they just chain them up in the backyard, and somehow expect them not to go insane from imprisonment and neglect.

This is Joon, a deaf pit bull. Honestly, the sweetest dog I've ever met.

Random sad looking pup at the end of last weekend's RAGNAR relay race. Very well mannered, but I don't think he was all that thrilled with the huge crowds at the finish line.

Last summer we bought a cottage and while I was out at the lake, Winnie stayed home and was fed by my Dad. Not an ideal solution as he missed me and I him. So we decided to see if we could get him into the cat carrier to see if we could introduce him to my parent's cats so we all could be at the lake. Well he never met the other 2 as he fought like he was fighting for his life not to get in the carrier. So we decided to leave the carrier on the floor so he could get used to it on his terms. Today he decided it was a good place to sit:
