Congrats on the new fur-ball and kudos to you for agreeing to take in Nell when the time comes.

Border collies have long been a favourite of mine and my 10 year older brother used to own one when I was a pre-teen.

Nell just came to us like she was already our dog... it wasn't a hard decision.

Congrats Norm and Tess! It's so nice to see a pup go to such a loving home. And giving Gerald the piece of mind that Nell will always be taken care of has to be so comforting to him.

SO, a bit of a story today...

Gerald is getting on, and he'd had a bad week, so before we left, he made us promise we'd come down and take Nell home if anything happened to him. I guess it set his mind at ease knowing all his dogs had a place to go, when his time comes.
That's a great story ... TFS & enjoy the new member, J

The postman dropped off a new-to-me toy today, a barely used SMC DA 40mm Limited, so of course I had to throw it on the camera and give it a quick test. The light was falling fast as the sun was dropping behind a line of tall trees at the far end of the 2-acre lot we live on but I did manage to grab these shots of our resident dufus!

In the second shot he's showing what has become known in the family as his 'derpy' look! Lost in thought, staring into space and with the tip of his tongue hanging out of the left side of his mouth. I'm not sure why he does it but it always gets a smile when he does.

I think I am going to like this lens!

Those are some nice looking images Tako... we were down pretty close to you no doubt when we picked up our puppy. Except having lived in Windsor, I'd never consider anywhere around where we were near Lake Huron to be truly SW. And from Point Pelee, near Leamington, everything in Canada is "da North."

Even Michael Jordan would stick out his tongue when he was concentrating. Great looking dog.

I knew you lived in Windsor for a number of years Norm so you will definitely know where I am. I live in Kingsville and as that is Canada's most southern town everything Canadian is north of here.
