It's actually the kitchen table. A gathering table. He never feels guilty about anything. He figures anything he does, or gets, is his birthright.

Did you build the table? Looks like two desks I built that are still in use by my daughters. Only difference is height and a center pencil drawer that flush mounts with the facing skirt/fascia board.

And your table is his seat. As are all flat surfaces in my home for Benny and Sadie.

No, I didn't build it. I do some wood working, but that's beyond my skill level (and ambition level).
