Here's our neighborhood cat. Not really our pet but he spends a lot of time at our house.

You should see their kittens!

Some amazing pics in this thread a such a cool variety of pets too:

Nothing exotic or diferent on my part - 2 mutts and one moggie, this shot has Kennedy (pure breed Dalamtian and Australian Champion) and Bruce (Domestic Short Hair) just lazing about on the pavers in our back yard.

Our other dog is a Red Heeler X Staffy, will post some of him later.

Cheers,

Wayne.

Between our huskie mix and the retriever mix, I find myself removing squirrel bodies about every other month. Today's chase lasted about 20 seconds, going the length of two deck railings, twice, a six feet leap for escape which only yielded a run down about 6 feet of fence before ultimately sending the squirrel right back up the tree he thought was no longer safe in the first place.
Our "black" golden retriever mix tagged today's contestant twice so I wanted to intervene before it got ugly and soon I brought the dogs in so the wounded animal could have a chance to get the hell out while he still could.
This is a typical pose for the dog.

Hey Gus, haven't hit this thread in a while. Yes, it was the 50-135 but I used a hotshoe flash softbox for lighting.

I had started a thread questioning some 90 - 100mm prime lens choices. Got a lot of good replies and other lenses to consider, and one I didn't expect, to consider the 50-135. Between being worried about QC & not it being a very 'wide range' of zoom I had all but discounted it... until last week. I believe the 60-250/4 may not end up being the only DA* that I suspect I'll get...

Scary good....check the current threads in the Lens Forum. IMO it's like having 5 primes in one (50, 70, 85, 100, 135). Of course, that's not factoring in the size/weight comparisons with primes.
