It's been a while since I've been active on the forum, I've been dealing with some difficult things. One of which is the loss of my beautiful cuddle bug Winnie. He had been my furry room mate since I adopted him as a kitten when he was 6 months old. We had almost 14 wonderful years together. He passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Sadly he did a great job of hiding his illness so there was nothing I could do.

In his memory I adopted 2 kittens from a local shelter and it's been a big adjustment. I will work on getting some photos of the new guys as soon as I can.
Sorry for your loss. It's never easy losing a family member

A few images of our extended family, my step-son's dogs makes 7 on today's walk.
After a few days off, winter has returned.

Here is one of my cat "Giga" resting near the window.
It is also the first picture published from my new acquired DFA24-70mm

Luna who was kind of a bad girl this morning. Not listening and being rebellious. But still so cute.

Our long lost "Kitty" was a ladder (and tree) climber, too...

We've had a nice string of sunny days in the mid-60s. They will continue for about another week, with a chance of a shower over the weekend. Jeannie likes it! (xposted)

I'm a grump about winter but that's irresistible--if our winters looked like that I might even go outdoors.

We are having a very mild winter so maybe too nice! This time last year there was like 10' of snow here, not exaggerating. This year it's about 1' in shady spots.

I remember when I used to enjoy winters, but now I'm a grown-up (more or less) and do not hope for a "snow day" to cancel school.
