"Sheltie" or formally Shetland Sheepdog. She is what's called a tri-colored, which tend to be mostly black. Sables are perhaps the most familiar color = Lassie-like. All Shelties should have a white collar that fluffs up in front, white paws and a white tip on the tail. In theory they should also have "half-prick" ears where the upper half of the ear folds forward. Sheltie puppies are naturally that way, but the ears tend to straighten when they grow. Purists tape or glue (hairs-to-hairs) the upper part of puppy ears into the desired conformation, then remove the tape or glue when the dog is about a year old and the ears will then retain that "cute" look. We preferred the ears up, so we just snipped through the hairs that were glued. The hairs with remnant glue eventually grew long enough to snip off completely.
I did not photograph her with her ears still folded and glued, but it's easy to see the remnant glue in the image below, especially at the base of her right ear. The white blaze in the middle of her forehead gradually disappeared.
