THANK YOU to all who have expressed understanding and sympathy for the passing of Tralee. We are still in Australia, and will be for several more weeks, just returned from several days in a the near isolation of Kakadu NP. It's a long way between small western settlements there.

We often describe her as a 'beach bum'. She loves nothing more than chasing rocks or shells on the sand and into the sea.

Daisy. SMC-M 135mm f/3.5 atop the K-70.
Having a fiddle with the post-processing side of things; attempting to make a soft, 'retro' style edit.

One Dog And His Man

I saw this dog taking his man out for regular walks on several occasions.

I had the opportunity later in the week to to talk briefly to this dog about his owner and got him to agree to quick portrait together.

Here's the one we liberated. The name assigned by the SPCA was "Astrid" (they automatically and somewhat arbitrarily assign names to all the animals). This is the first time we've adopted an animal and retained the assigned name.
