I took both dogs to the dog park this morning, which I haven't done in a long time. Skippy doesn't enjoy being surrounded by a bunch of strange dogs nearly as much as Tasi, but she does appreciate being included once in a while.

We got most of the way home before Skippy decided this was a good, shady spot to stop and have a nap.

Tasi got home and dismantled the couch, again. She's not really a fan of cushions.

This afternoon I took the FA* 300 f/4.5 paired with the DA 1.4 rear converter out. I'm soooooo pleased wih the results. The pictures are tack sharp, the bokeh is lovely - this combo is everything I could wish for. Happy!

Great pic of a good looking pup. (Are his / her ears always one up, one down? Very cute.)

I've wondered from time to time how you can tell whether those big mastiff-derived breeds are still alive.

He's pushing 11 and anytime he plays with outside stimuli I'm delighted; at his advanced age for a St Bernard he mostly lounges and uses minimal energy these days. That was clearly a throwback and worth documenting....

Kawai Imprisoned
Border collies are known for their intelligence. Kawai, however, found a way to imprison himself in an old barn while our backs were turned. Luckily, we were able to show him the way out. No damage to the barn, and Kawai did not starve to death as he thought might happen.
