It's been months since we went to the local dog park / mud hole. They were closed for a while, but now they're open again, and I broke my arm on Sunday, so no bike ride for me. Out of excuses, I headed out this morning with a mask, a sling, the dog, and an old lens.

I don't mind when it's 118° in the afternoon. What gets me is when it never drops below 90°, even at 5:00 in the morning, for weeks on end.

Normally, when a dog starts to head into the mud, you'll here "NONONONO--" and running feet as someone rushes in to stop the inevitable.

But now, it's August. We get it. Have at it, buddy.

I'd join you, but at least one of us has to pretend we're above this kind of behavior.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the arm! I hope you make a speedy recovery.
Also sorry to hear about that heat. I don't think I'd take it very well. Sounds truly miserable to me.
Finally, nice pics!

Luna cooling off on out hot hike on Saturday. It was close to 90, which for here and with the high altitude sun (~8000 Ft.) feels pretty hot!

Tralee fixing on the next obstacle. She looks so happy and healthy here, with less than a year left.

Thanks for the kind words. It's not nearly as bad as the time I broke my wrist in a car crash ten years ago. I was stuck in an elbow cast for two months that time. This time, I fractured the head of the radius at my elbow in a bike crash. It's not nearly as painful, and should heal much faster. Since I know how much worse it could be, I'm not too bothered by this minor disaster. I can't ride my bike for a while now, but I can still do the long, pre-sunrise walk with the dogs each day.

Your mountain stream looks so much cleaner than our sprinkler runoff.

I have both Cactus VII and XPro-P also.

Since Godox release the XPro-P I found very attractive their (Godox) light eco-system.

I Never looked back with the Godox XPro-P way better than cactus. Even the TTL600 is amazing: Compatible with m42 and M lenses on socket or remotely controlled by the XPro.

AFAIK: Digital Pentax Cameras cannot trigger the flash (xPro-P or Latest Pentax Flash AF360FGZ II / AF540FGZ II) if there is an M42 or M lens mounted. To trigger an A or any AF lenses is required.
Another way to trigger is to "tape" every control pin on the flash or remote. That's why I have found the TTL600 very convenience cos' there is no need to hack the flash socket and HSS is a plus
