Dahlia hears or sees something, or think she does.

Mabel, where she is most happy. Sleeping or on the beach.

She's VERY in-tune with people really, but has learned some bad habits from our rescue, Daisy.
Daisy is happy to do her own thing, e.g. sleep on the floor (they're both allowed on the bed), whereas Mabel HAS to be tucked up to you as close as can be.
Loves seeing people, has oftentimes run up to strangers on the beach, tail wagging just because there's someone other than us in the vicinity.
She's noisy when in the house if people (usually if they're with dogs) walk past, a bad habit from Daisy.
Her and Daisy have also vied for top-spot, so that ended up being a little nasty on a couple of occasions, but all managed well now. They still play together, regardless of their past differences.

Dogs - like children - only exchange bad habits and germs.

....they wear masks, social distance, and avoid large crowds indoors.

Thanks Paul. How are you enjoying California compared to Texas? CA certainly is a diversified state, if you're willing and able to travel around it. Even when I was a student at Berkeley, Californians were notorious travelers. There was a joke that at any time, at least half the people in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington were tourists from California..
