A strongly backlit Dahlia wondering why I'm sitting at the desk instead of in the recliner where she could sleep on my lap.

Oooh...she's gorgeous! Ours like to keep watch out the front windows, too, unless the yard crew is out there making Very Bad Noise.
Thanks! She is a pretty kitty and has always enjoyed looking outside.

This is our wise Portia. We took her in in December '05 age unknown but easily 10+ years. She had been found wandering with no identification. She was grossly overweight. We got the weight down but, unfortunately it kept going down. She was diagnosed with intenstinal cancer and we did everything we could for her. She was with us for a brief 18 months in total.

Thanks for making her last years better than the ones before.

Tasi really likes my recliner. Maybe it's the feeling of being surrounded by the padded sides, or maybe It's in a good spot to catch a bit of winter sun.

This is Gem. She was another English Cocker found wandering and unidentifiable. We brought her here in Oct 2000. She was estimated to be about 12 years old. In 2002 she had an internal bleed. Our vet said there was nothing much that could be done for her but suggested she be heavily sedated and we took her home. He was right. I read to her on the lounge. After an hour or so she woke up and licked water from a wet rag. She survived for another 2 years until it all caught up with her. She was an extremely gentle soul but was perfectly capable of standing up for herself if necessary.

Annie just knew something interesting was happening behind the door.
My wife was wrapping presents, and didn't need/want "help".

ROFL! Oh, yes, the kitty helper! What would we do without their help? We'd get a lot more done in half the time, that's what! Couple of our outside gang make it their business to "help" with garden chores. I've tumbled on my butt more than a few times when a "helper" decided that I was not to step where I intended to step.

LOL. If we leave any flat paper on the floor, ours will go and lie down on it. It's definitely a task where you don't want feline help!

Noam and mudpools - a combination made in dog heaven! (Not my heaven though as I have to clean him up before we can enter the house!)
