Cross-posted to the M club, I used the M 100mm f/2.8 for this. I usually use the 85/2 but didn't have that with me.

a failed attempt at a brenizer....it's 3 frames but quite lacking with dof & bokeh....I did however get a much larger pic/file to work with having 3 frames from the K-r versus just a head shot using a 200mm lens

I wouldn't at all consider this a failed attempt Aaron, I definitely detect a pronounced 3D pop. I think this shot perfectly illustrates how even 2-3 additional frames can assist with subject isolation.

thanks Eddy.....the additional frames definitely help for an overall comp versus a 'head shot'.....suppose I did not think it got enough 'pop' or dof for the effect I was chasing or had in mind when shooting

I did this last night with the M 50mm f/1.7, wide open. Usually I wouldn't use anything as short as 50mm for a Brenizer shot but that's what I had with me. I had to wait for ages to get a clear shot as people kept wandering into the frame and ruining it, one of the difficulties of Brenizer shots in busy places as you have to stand so far back that people don't realise you're taking a picture.
