Here's mine. I used Photoshop CS5 to modify the color of the silo, then I removed the background and replaced it with an image of lightning. I wanted to make the image more electrifying.

My processing approach used to be exactly this quote:

"I'm a post processing purist because I am lazy and I don't have photoshop."

But I'm trying to get better. One way is to read these threads, and finally participate.

I did a lot of this in Adobe Camera RAW, and only used CS5 to add one thing and take away something.

I prefer your original picture.

It beautifully captures an ominous, foreboding feeling.

Excellent crop of entries so far.

I was going to close this today but as my home computer is fubar I'll keep it open for the weekend. Hopefully everything will be sorted by then.

Will keep you posted

A Twist

I guess that I looked at this challenge as a graphic design problem -

My goal was to create an image that took on the style of early 30's and 40's comics - hand drawn with intense colors, very graphic, and the where the objects were shown in unusual angles.

I've sent Graham V a PM to see if he is still going to do the judging.

Hi all.

Apologies for the delay in judging, no sooner did I sort out my computer when my daughter's laptop broke and I've been trying to recover as much data as possible.

Anyway enough of the excuses, I don't want to rush the judging so give me 'til the weekend and I'll announce the results on Sunday.
