Neat thread and a great shot to start with!

I took this one with a point and shoot Fuji F10 in Bermuda in 2005. I still love this shot.

And this one recently with my K-r.

both are great. I never get tired of a scene like the second one, funny how many "takes" a subject can have and still have impact. great stuff!

Thank you, slip!

Really want to see some other people's favorites. It provides inspiration and it's always fun to see what other people enjoy photographing!

Good Friends

'Good Friends' is what I titled this photo, it's my favourite photo, shot with a simple Canon Powershot A70 back in June 2004. 3.1megapixels!!

Both cats were sitting, enjoying the evening when a car made a noise down the road, they both looked towards it and the photo composed itself!!

I actually won an honourable mention at a photo show with this photo. Had to explain that I didn't have a fancy camera, just a point & shoot, I think a lot of people didn't believe me. Sometimes, you just get lucky with photos.

I had a hard enough time picking the top 10 for '10.

Since I can post two I have to use this shot of my youngest son in a HS soccer match. It just fit him because he was a striker with a nose for the goal. This was taken back in 2005 with a Konica-Minolta Z2. Was a good camera for a P&S Superzoom:

This is my best photo, taken in Yellowstone National Park. It is in the PPG Premier Collection:

tom that flyfishing photo rocks!
I am/was a fly fisherman until I got my motorcycle on the road around 5 years ago. now I want to do both!

any how, I agree it isn't easy to pick top 2 but here goes on the second pic for me

my very first photoshoot after buying the k10. knew nothing about it, or digital for that matter. took years to figure out how I got such fantastic lighting.... seems that I positioned the girls just to the side of window light and just got enough light to be considered "feathered light" boy what knowledge the net gives!

cheers and thanks for looking

Thanks. The lighting is great on the shot, but the timing on the girls' expressions was great, it all works together. The fog in the fly fishing shot was gone in five minutes, burned away by the sun, By the way I really enjoy your first shot, where was it taken? It has a lot of emotion.

loco, That second shot is very nice!

Thank you!

I'm in awe of your fog shot. Since I got my camera I have been waiting for the perfect foggy morning or some awesome foggy scene to appear for me and it just hasn't happened. I know fog can be tricky as well. That's an awesome shot!

And slip, what a beautiful picture of the girls!

Parallax, I really appreciate the kitty photo!! Looks like he/she is just overcome after an especially arduous playtime!

Nice idea for a thread......
This one was shot with Kodak infrared film. Very grainy. Shot in the 90's, but still one of my favorites. I don't think the pond by the Botanical Gardens as ever looked the same.

Thanks, It's a lot of luck just to get the fog and light combination.

Dunerunner, great infrared shot, reminds me when fog freezes onto everything and sun comes out.
