Finally decided on the lens

It will be the Super Albinar MC auto F2.8.
It is a m42-lens with a bad reputation, so it will be a real challenge

Count me in.... I will be using my K5 with an old SMC Pentax A 50mm 2.0 lens. Manual focus. I have only had my K5 about a month, have only shot a few frames with this lens in the 15+ years I have owned it. So this should be fun.

I've decided as well. SMC Takumar 55mm F1.8. It's become a favorite.

Good closeup and at a distance and for people.

Great choice Bruce. Mine lives on my Spotmatic now, a superb lens.

I had mentioned I may participate at jack's prompting, but it looks like work is going to keep me too busy until at least middle of next week. We have the American Bar association in town for a convention and our hotel is hosting some of it (demanding these lawyers are sheesh)

Wow, great start to this month by everyone. Some fantastic shots, what talent!
The only negative is that it will take lots of time to comment on the photos, but even this is enjoyable given the quality of the shots so far!

115F when we broke for lunch today. Really putting a cramp in my photo-style.

I'm really sad that I did not get into the game.. Hoping to get in at least in October when I hopefully will finally get new lens!

Right now I don't have the time to sit behind the computer. Also I'm really not feeling healthy.. I'm having Iron deficiency anemia and due that I'm only trying to get my job done. Hoping to get better with all those cures that my doctor told me to do. And maybe autumn will be even better time!

And to You all who are participating, Good luck and much inspiration! All of Your shots are great!
