Thanks I actually like the results better than with the ring flash that came with the Lester Dine.

I don't doubt it. I've made a similar "snoot" for mine, out of foam core and electrical tape. Currently, using a tissue to diffuse the business end of it. I'm getting results unlike any other method I've tried. Very even light, and easy to expose for.

At the moment I am using the lid of the pringles can I scuffed it up with sand paper but I can also add paper under the lid if needed.

Tim - are you shooting these in RAW or jpeg? Also, around what aperture are you shooting at?

Great shots Tim. I too have a snoot for mine, made from foam core wrapped in electrical tape, aluminum foil inside, and a piece of milk jug for a diffuser. Fact, I have three of these. I built one for my wish list flash, ie, shoe mount, and one smaller one for my short lenses, and one for longer lenses.

What flash are you using? I'm still using my onboard, and that's the reason I added aluminum foil inside, to give the flash an extender.

AF200 wish I had a better flash but have spent to much money on lens so flash will have to wait.

I was thinking about getting the AF200 also, but then a member has a AF360FGZ for a bit more money than the AF200 and I'm trying to buy it. Have you ever checked KEH for flashes? They have several of the AF360FGZ under $200.
