Wow, that's looking like a great combination. Excellent shot.

Thanks Des. I had this adapter before but had no short lenses to use it with and now I have several lenses below 100mm, I bought this off pepperberry farm through the MarketPlace.

Help they are all over me and my monitor because this is what happens at sunset every night for about a week here in New Orleans. We have the buck moth cattapillars swarm a few weeks previous which hurt like bee stings if they fall on you or you sit on one but you can mostly avoid those.
Behold the termite season

Playing with a reversed 18-55 II, with aperture wedged open. This was at 35-45mm if I recall correctly. Didn't notice the mite(?) on the flower until after I got indoors to inspect my shots, otherwise I would have paid it much more attention with higher magnification. This image is cropped a bit closer. The flower is quite small. That is a blade of grass on the left.

That termite swarm is Creepy! We used to have termite swarms from time to time when I was a kid on Long Island (NY)

An abundance of Robber flies around these days-mostly found in Municipal Nature Reserves

Also saw two of them catch insects- lightning fast it was.

All with the 50-200mm lens coupled with the Ranox 150 except the first one is without the Raynox

So I guess everyone's OK with 2048-pixel wide "thumbnails" these days? I feel old...

I guess we are now. I hadn't noticed anyone putting overly large posts though. I view photos on my computer, not a phone. My phone is for making phone calls, not browsing the internet.

Been out to Fermilab a few times this late spring season to have a look at the spring wildflowers. It changes weekly!

A Lassioglossum bee on Bloodroot.

Bellflower, a woodland lilly, very popular as well, and very difficult to get images when bees are collecting.

Probably an Andrena in the bellflower.

A male Andrena on Cutleaf Toothwort, a native mustard.

Face view of the wee fellow.
