Here's the first one- way back in 2011
That is an impressive and fascinating beetle.

This one should go on the larvae & grubs thread, but because I'm here.

Yep, Weevils are fascinating. The one from Addo was found on a walkway, with a small (about 8cm) wall which it was trying to get over, unsuccessfully, so I coaxed it onto the stick. It then went into "playing dead" mode, and no matter what I tried, no limb moved. I pried the stick between its legs, ever so gently, and could then take a few shots. When I left it, it was still "dead".

Got quite a few dragons on my recent visit to Port Elizabeth

Ants in a pretty setting. This is a very deep crop. See post #3009 in the Micro Four Thirds Club thread for the uncropped origina;.

I used to see those grasshoppers when I worked in Malawi - or at least something very much like them. Never knew they were poisonous.

Here are three dragonflies and a damselfly from Costa Rica. No idea how to even start identifying them!

I like the hummingbird moth images. I've tried to capture those when they come to our Buddleia. In spite of their tendency to hover, it's a real challenge to get a good sharp image.
