Nice shot as well! Yeah they're pretty interesting looking. It's my first time seeing one but I've only really been on the lookout for bugs for the past few months

The marquee bug of the moment around here, of course,is the Cicada (saw my first yesterday--which was quickly dispatched by a cardinal) but I was happy to see this caddisfly (because fishing! and also because, as a water quality indicator, it suggests that our stressed urban stream is holding it's own.)

Messing with the A 400 on a bunch of extension tubes, fun experiment for little bugs and such, but I think it's probably easier just to use it straight and then crop a bit more...
