Stuck Spider

This little spider made the mistake of attempting to walk across a mouse glue trap in an attempt to reach a trapped cricket.
Since the spider was stuck, I thought it would be a good time to test my ghetto macro flash, which was a plastic Stax can with a slit cut to slide over the built-in flash. It seemed to work well. BTW, I'm using the glue traps for field mice and not for intentionally catching insects.

Anyway, I could see that this little guy had something stuck in its beard, but I wasn't about to try and remove it for him...lol.

Thanks for the answer. Now I know that it is a male yellow lynx spider.

I love insects... found this grasshopper in our garden, and until I looked at the photo on the computer I did not realize they had such scary looking faces!!
