Slobby sawfly

Spring has been slow, but more bugs everyday now. Caught this sawfly making a pig of herself.

Can we still post spiders here now that there's a spider thread? I hope so...

Here's a two-shot focus stack at 6:1, using a Pentax-M 150mm F/3.5 plus a reversed Sigma Superwide 24mm F/2.8:

Bee on a wildflower. Flower is a Indian Blanket, don't know what bee it is, smaller than a honey bee though.

K30 and just a 50mm, no macro, didn't have it with me and too windy to swap anyway. I t hink it was the K50 f1.4 but not positive...I've slept since then...

False blister beetle

Lots of little yellow flowers about. I think they are lilies. Caught this impostor in one of them.

Dropped my lens cap on my daily walk about and when I picked it up I noticed this tiny creature on a blade of grass. I think it's a treehopper nymph.

Firefly pupa

Like something HR Giger would come up with. (Was portrait but rotated image right).

Nice one sinjin, though usually I prefer insects in their natural position. This one works too.

Pete, were you wearing said sock? Nice catch!!

In case no one noticed Adam created a new forum specifically for Macro photography.

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/177-macro-photography/

But that could be for any Macros where this thread deals with insects only.

Thanks. Chasing bugs, isn't my main thing, but when I find one, I do try and capture it......

This one seemed to wonder what I was doing.

i wonder where they hide their cameras?
