Seems to me that mayfly might be fresh out of its larva stage and still firming up. Its exoskeleton will probably take a little time to become opaque. I'm no expert on mayflies but I've never seen one so pale.

It might be genus Stenacron. Try GOOGLE on that name and look at the images that come up.

Wow, that's tiny. I can't recall seeing a mayfly as small as the ones the google search brings up.

The ones I saw on bugGuide said they were female. Not sure, don't quote me on that, but it seemed that's what they were named.

Nice captures, mohb. The spider is a crab spider don't know which one or which genus, but it was a bonus for you. The dragonfly thing could be either a dragonfly or a damselfly or the other dragonfly that holds its wings closed. Most dragonfly rest with wings spread.

Here is one from me today: Body slightly OOF cause I was aiming for her legs.

I'll have to tell nephew to not kill her.

Shot with a Pentax A 28mm f2.8 lens and K-30.

I switched browsers now I can see even those from photobucket. I'm using Firefox now.

While spiders are up, here are two not previously posted. Notice the inverted landscapes in the dew drops.

Thanks WPRESTO for the ID of the Mayfly... I cannot be 100% sure it's that genus, but I'll submit it on an insect's Facebook group ...

Let's focus on spiders now !

Dolomèdes à six points - Six-spotted Fishing Spider [Dolomedes triton]

I thin it's a juvenile because mature ones can get much bigger... this one had about 2in diameter over the legs

It's a damselfly, but I can't tell you which. Damselfly heads look different.
