Overall it looks like a fly (DIptera), mosquito-like gestalt. The feathery antennae could indicate either 1) it is a male attracted to females by a pheromone; or 2) it "hunts" by scent = there is a specific air-born molecule that indicates food.

Thanks for that clue, helpful, and lead me to believe it is a Midge, either phantom Midge or non biting Midge, probably the former. An abundance of them at Zoo Lake and I initially thought they were mosquitoes.

I found this guy/gal on the porch but couldn't get a good shot until I picked him/her up with one hand and shot with the other (K-1 & DFA 100/2.8 Macro)

Very good Dave. I can't imagine hand holding a K-1 with 100mm lens and steady at that! TFS

Thanks but undetstand that most of the shots in that sequence were subjected to the delete button.

My latest. Dragonfly is reposted from K-3 Sample Shots. Both focus stacks using 100mm WR, Raynox DCR-250 and flash, as usual.

Some type of cricket (perhaps?) hanging out on the bloom of some cinnamon basil. Tam 90 macro with k70.

I think it's a Katydid nymph.
