I quoted him before but didn't this time. I should have to keep you from getting confused.

My avatar says, "I drink coffee for your protection" and believe me, if I don't have the first cuppa, you better not talk to me until then. LOL

From last fall, I was sad to find the coffee pot lacking in coffee, but alas, there was a fly to photograph

The fact that Pentax has released a few cameras and never has enabled CIF with AF lenses leaves me to believe the issue is actually a lot harder than we think. If they could do it easily I think they would, because that's just the kinda company I believe Pentax to be. My advice is to instead of hope a firmware fix will come along... if the feature is important to you then look for lenses with a AF/MF switch.

Do Canon or Nikon offer CIF with AF lenses I wonder?

I wouldn't care if they did. I'm a die hard Pentaxian.

I only have three AF lenses. The rest are Prime MF.

Haha, yeh well I only asked because if others can do it then it suggests it may not be a big issue to work around and Pentax dropping the ball, however if no one else can do it then it does suggest its a little more convoluted than meets the eye.

I'm hoping to get back to the butterfly exhibit this week. These are taken at the exhibit indoors with the K-1, Sigma 180 Macro, and AF540FGZII flash.

This about as close to a 1:1 macro as I can get hand held.

A drop-out from a horror movie?

Anyway, it landed on my porch this afternoon. About 3cm. Looks kind of like a hellgramite but without the pinchers.

These were in a demonstration butterfly garden at Epcot. Only native Florida species, many of them rather tattered.

Thanks for the ID! I'd think it's really too early (we're getting some nasty winter weather today) but there are always deviants testing the boundaries. Also, it's much larger than any fireflies we have in these parts.

this is cross posted from the alphabet race, but it looked too good to just be a rather weak 'z'
