I cropped away most of the legs from this crane fly image in hopes of showing its face better, but the crop is too deep for the lens' resolution so the detail on the antennae is not as crisp as i'd like.

Tiny, curious little insect. There was some movement that degraded IQ on the natural light shots I took.

Cute! A weevil of some sort maybe? My thesis advisor was from the US - he used to tell me to always choose the lesser of two weevils. And this one is tiny.

I have a little grasshopper

Backswimmer - but it's not swimming, so it isn't upside down.

It's not a weevil insect, even if it wished to be. It's a leafhopper.

Goldenrod is blooming here, so that means lots of different insects on one easy to find plant. It's a regular traffic jam!

A leafhopper:

A big freakin' wasp or hornet thingy:

An ant and (part of) a fly:

Same leafhopper with some small hornet or wasp thingy.

A tiny beetle:

100% crop:

All with the Sigma 70mm f2.8 with Pringles tin diffuser/extender on built-in flash.
