I like the last one. The others are nice too but I like to see the eyes in focus, like birds, or dogs/cats, and people.

What new lens did you get?
Thank you. Sigma 28-80mm Aspherical Macro lens, with the Raynox 250

Well, it sure seems to get you in close focus using that Raynox atop it.

What in the world are those in the second photo?
Those are prickly baby caterpillars that hatched from the eggs

For being babies, they're not very cute. Thanks for the ID, though.

Out for a walk and spied this wee chappie riding the flower head in a gentle breeze:

Nice capture Arjay!

We used to have those here but with all the spraying for mosquitoes and sand knats/no see ems, we lost them. Guess the spray killed em off.

Baby King Cricket that I found while working in the garden one day.

And on another such occasion

This one decided to share my bath with me, I was unimpressed with its generosity

Lots of flowers popping up recently - and these guys are quite active now... with A 400...

Really nice capture, Robert. TFS in my thread.

I know your hands are steadier than mine, so capturing a bee in flight with an A 400mm is a good deal better than I could do right now.

Btw, I've added you as a friend on my Flickr.

Thanks Mar - there was a great deal of 'spray and pray' and then deleting lots of pictures involved... I had the A400 on a monopod to support the weight as I stood outside the hive for a while trying for this photo. I eventually gave up and went back inside after they were starting to buzz my head as a warning... I was hoping to get a good shot of one carrying pollen, but those were all out-of-focus or way too motion blurred.

Still working out all the Flickr stuff, as I just started using it this year... have you managed to do some shooting with the K1000 yet?

I've posted other images from this photo-op earlier. You might say this is life hanging by a thread, as the fly was still alive and the spider nowhere I could see.

K3&Tamron90 - lucky to happen to be standing set as this chappie alighted right next to me...
