I'm checking in on you all through out the month, as I enjoy the work you share, but I'll be taking a by for Oct - its Birthday month in my house, plus we will have some construction going on with installation of some flooring and what-not. I was bummed about not being able to fully participate in Sept... I hate half doing things.

Another reason to join this month besides all the fun I had, was I bet I haven't taken 10 photos since I dropped out in September. Course I been real busy and sick the last two weeks, but I miss having a reason to take a photo. And the company is fabulous!!

I think my lens of choice this month will be the Samyang 100-500mm.
It is good to have you back. And as you mentioned about this little game is making one to take more pictures, I see it also as a big +. might not be that every shot is a masterpeace, but it is still fun...can be tought too at last weeks but worth it.

So all of you still hesitating wether of not to give it a go, jump in!

@Mattt, don't worry by november you can be back in Single in.

Good to read the early returns for October.
Man, I got hammered by an outside source in September that caused me to peel out near the end of the month.
Still recuperating but am thinking of participating. Better this month than next up here in the Northern clilmes. The light diminishes, you know.
Urge anyone willing to join the fantastic Single in.... wagontrain.
Lens still unknown... we will figure it out in time.
Kudos to all the participants.

We have every confidence that you will! Besides, we all have times when we doubt ourselves, but the group of "Singlers" here keep spurring each other on. And, you really do get to learn alot about the strengths/weaknesses of your chosen lens...and then how to overcome them!

I will let October pass, it has been too tough for me the last few days... And October is likely to be quite stressing, so I am not sure I have time or enough commitment for this one....

Oh man, your work here has been enjoyable to look. Maybe you will come along, but take it easy for few days just like getting known to your choice of lens as it was your first touch and after few days, youknow, ad some knotces.

I'm going to switch lenses. The birds are on hiatus or just flown the coop but I went out this morning and saw nothing that could be shot with the Samyang lens. And really, it's too much lens for my backyard. So, I got no photo for today. I'll change lenses to use the Pentax 18-55mm straight up no closeups. All the flowers are gone too, except for the domestic variety.

My energy is gone. I've been sick with a Kidney infection for three weeks now and still not back up to my usual energy level. Still no photos taken these last few days. So, I'm going to drop out of October.

What...your choice of lens? Give it a chance. I know your M50/1.7 is your favorite, but you've got to be able to find something good about the DA 35. That's what a month-long challenge will help do. Who knows, maybe it'll turn out to be your favorite once the month's over.

lol no no..i was disliking photolady not feeling well! I remain undecided on the 35mm: I am trying desperately not to crop my photos so I can really learn to frame a photo w/in the 35mm.
