Farm on a hillside in Norway. The animals are goats. Taken from a train hence the great blur, or bokeh, of the grass closer to camera's position.

A maritime climate = frequent largely unpredictable showers - plus continuous melt of the snow pack deep into the summer. Notice the snow covered mountain at upper left, means the soil almost never dries out so the grass grows lush throughout a fairly short growing season.

This Norwegian farm, no longer active but preserved for historical reasons, was along the postal-delivery horse trail that went along the side of a fjord. Consequently the farm was given its own postal delivery number, the smallest area/number of people with a what amounts to a ZIP Code. The two wider views give an idea of how isolated the farm is. Part of the postal trail is visible as a line or break in the trees going off to the right of the farm in the second and third images. BTW: There are small, even tiny towns deeper into this fjord.

Yeah, and it is more developed now. Pods, but only about three seeds per pod. Lady L reckons they will be broad beans.

The first picture is pretty cool, Kristian. The point of view and framing, the lighting, the cornhead just about to break through, make for a powerful image.

Looks like the truck driver needs to keep his box under the chute, eh?
