Ok, so I was showing my neighbour the pictures of her chookies and she was very amused when I told her how much everyone here admired her Rooster:



Apparently it's not a rooster, but actually a hen... I mean, we knew that right?

For those interested the breed is "a Wyandotte but with a straight comb from the introduction of Rhode Island Red a few generations back to get the red feathers."

I don't think I would explore it in the dark. If the barn doesn't fall on you, you could walk off the very edge of the earth!

At the very least you'd be getting pretty wet - I shot this from across a pretty strong-flowing creek. Yep, I'd be afraid to exhale inside that place!
