Driving through the back of beyond on the way to Adelaide

Thanks, The round bales shot was helped by heavy snow coming down, no reflections off the snow.

Thanks Tim, Both of those shots were taken when I headed out into the falling snow. We ca go weeks without it though, which is OK by me.

Hey Ramsbuckeye,

Thanks for the nice comments. It's getting onto summer here (although looking at the temps you wouldn't believe it). I live in a farming community pretty much smack dab Nowhere.

As to finding something to shoot, I'm sure there's an obliging cow somewhere willing to step out into the the cold for a chance to get their glorified 5 mins of fame from you?

That's just a small garden next to the restored farmhouse. The 'real' farm field is further out, tho it's not that big. Over the years, the town has grown around the farm, and nowadays it's used mostly for seasonal events and school field trips, etc. Here's a couple more:

Beautiful light in the first shot, wolfiegirl. However you might want to clean your sensor, I see some spots in the second.

Thanks jmschrei! Yeah I had to pull over when I saw the light.. thank goodness I was on my own. I can imagine hubby's face if I'd insisted we stop just so I could take a photo that took advantage of the light

Ack! I didn't see those spots last night - assumed it was the bubbling from the botch job I did on the laptop anti glare sticker. Thanks for the heads up!

You should be! I'm glad you stopped to get that light, that first one's a killer!

Jools, I like the B&W, looks like you stepped into the 1950s or 60s. I haven't ssen any milk cans like that for a while, except for the one's people use foe rustic decor. I love the cows, great shot.

We have a large Amish community about an hour away, I drove through there yesterday:

Just going through some old pictures and came across this.

It was taken through the car window, so please forgive the blurriness at the edges. We were driving down a country lane through the Tasmanian Wilds, this time last year and was met with this. It's not one of my best, but there's something about it that I like.
