I expect that corn couldn't make much more pleasurable steam unless it were at a distillery.
I suspect there would be a lot more interest for sampling the output every 3 hours at night if I ran a distillery.

farmerDavid, those are nice photos and a very nice grain dryer set up.
Best Regards, Bob
Thank you for the kind words. Night pictures are a lot more fun with the K-1 than with my K-7. Here is one trough (through?) the combine windshield. Usually it makes ugly reflections but I liked this one. You can see the closest corn plants are moving, they are about to go down fast...

and here my second son giving me time to take pics from outside of the cab.

farmerDavid, those 2 night shots are fantastic, liked the first one a lot then noticed you have a youngster running the combine, that is real fantastic.

Cultivated fields down where it's flat and moist, somewhere in Idaho. It's just possible to see the wind farm atop the far ridge.

This was taken almost exactly 7 years ago, a few months after getting my first DSLR. I'll revisit this image from time to time and make a few PP adjustments. This is the latest . Image 28/2.8 on *ist D:

The barn looks old, but the tractor is a Mehindra, not exactly nostalgic USA. The lighting and color, odd or pleasant depending on preference, is minutes before sundown.

One of our chickens is a real character, if can get out of the yard. Today she went into the hay barn and started making a nest for herself.

Ancient sheep-folds somewhere in Ireland. I wonder if anyone knows for certain when the stone fences were constructed.
