But real nice lines! Love the simplicity and graphic design of the image.

This article at PetaPixel only mentions Flickr in passing, but may explain partially why great images don't make it.

I read it just now. Interesting. I was sure tags were how to be seen more. You'd think there were human ways to detect a bot. Maybe only a few pictures that are really not special and 1000s of followers would be a tip.

I always try to tag each picture heavily an post to groups there to up it's popularity.

I heard about a guy who tagged all his pics with "cute young girl" and got a large number of views more than what he did.

I can't find it now, but along these lines I recall someone on Pentax Forums experimented with accurate and descriptive tags that conveniently had raunchy double meanings. Traffic grew, "Likes" and "Comments" were low. I've no idea if they were human views or bots looking for a cheap thrill. Either way they left disappointed.

In unexpectedly this morning at #79! I've only had two that started in the 80s previously, so I think this is my highest placing yet... Normally goes down a bit during the day.

M40mm on K-5. It's a difficult lens to get a good shot with, but I guess this will suffice for the never ceasing exploiters of Explore:

My second explored photo, mostly intended for silliness as a pretend attempted photo of some fairly popular Snowy Owls near me. There's an Owl at the base of one of the fenceposts, I swear it's not a large chicken or a plastic bag, or a white bucket, or made out of paper mache:

One already has seed pods! When do they start blooming in your neck of the woods? Ours are just showing themselves in bud after the recent snow melt. Love the Hellebores, we have a dozen or so in our gardens.

Around the the last week of February or first week first of March, I'm glad to see them doing so well this year, they are about 5 years old.

I've had a good run in March. Several images have already been posted in the March 2017 Single In group threads.

This one started at #51 on the 1st, but was dropped after I made a remark in the comments about how everyone is declaring the beauty of a hypodermic needle left in the street (SMH) SMC M 20mm f4 / K-1

This one at #357 on the 2nd. HD P-DA 55-300

This one at #92, HD P-DFA 28-205 / K-1

This one came in strong on March 2nd, and ended up at #56 with just under 70,000 views... crazy.. SMC P-M 20mm f4 / K-1

This one was als on on March 2nd, SMC P-M 20mm f4 on Portra 400 / K1000

March 10th at # 103.. the 20mm / K-1 combo again and me shaking my head...

March 10th squeaking in at #437 - 28-105 / K-1

Again with the 20mm / K-1 on March 20 at #94

And finally this one 15-30 mm / K-1 at 470

Wow, that's quite a run Mattt! The Algorithm favors you! Love the sunset over foggy fields - a very well-deserved 70k views - as well as the two "fence over water" shots, especially the B&W, even though there's an odd "glow" left of the foremost post...

Looks like I'm in this morning at #95. I'll take it! But it's weird how the algorithm doesn't usually pick the shots I like best. There were a couple in this series I was really wishing to hit Explore, but the one that made it is this one:

"Daffodil Drama" was captured with a tripod-mounted Pentax K-S2 with smc Pentax M 1:4/100. The daffodils were on a lightbox.

Flickr blessed me with another Explore before the month was done... so that is a total of 10 pics for the Month of March.

I have to say those last three are brilliant each in their own right. Wonderful Photos fellas.
