I don't set out ever to achieve a 3D look but I do find certain lenses often seem to have it:

Tamron SP 90mm macro (the old 52BB):

And I find Pentax K series lenses often have a 3d look, particularly the K55/1.8:

This is kinda 3-D looking, or so I'm told.

K-01 with 40mm XS

My wife tells me this gives a pleasing 3D look to our cat …... at least he's our cat when he's well behaved. After he's eaten her computer cables and disables her internet access, he reverts to being "my" cat.

Thanks, Martin! It was Nikon 14-24mm and a quick action to get a bit more blur in the background (pretty rushed and clumsy).

I like your two captures above.

Oh. THnx. That lens is really fantastic. Going to Marocco next week and the only lenses I will bring are my FD 50/1,4 and my FD 20/2,8. Perhaps Ill bring the FD L 80-200 as well.
Ill see if I cant cet some 3d'ish captures with those

Quick action? Not following but the blurred back is really interesting. Is it 2 exposures blended somehow?

This is just an ordinary photo, but for some reason I like it. Shot wide open with an old Sigma 28-70/3.5-4.5 zoom:

Yes, the 14-24 is an amazing lens, the stories about it flaring badly are also exaggerated.

Two exposures blended, but the blurry exposure if just a photoshop created one - both from the same shot.
