This has got to be one of the fastest starts to a PP challenge. What a nice range of "looks" submitted so far. Here is my attempt.

I'm game for this..here's mine.
I still would have liked to put more into this but the final image might become very different from the original so I kept back a little..

Hopefully this won't look exactly like someone else's entry, but as is now my usual practice I've made my entry before peeking at any others.

This photo is amazing, it has an awesome level of detail. I feel the original wasn't fully showing it.

I did a 16:9 crop to get somewhere near the rule of thirds on the horizon (I'm a sucker for set standards and yes, I do break them regularly as well), increased local contrast with the USM set to a very large radius and low amount and then layered the original at 50% transparency over a "painted" version with low abstraction level and high detail.
