I know it was only rebuilt in '84 but I hope the bridge holds out, that is some impressive flow. Although I have never set foot there, Pakenham and Lanark County is the home ground for a lot of my Thompson family ancestry.

Scan from a chrome, converted to B&W because the color was hopeless. Maybe the most photographed waterfall in the world? From this angle, even having seen goodness knows how many pictures of it, it still looks impressive.

There is a 4 foot drop in there somewhere, but you can't see it this time of year.

Well over two inches of rain recently have brought Quabbin Reservoir over the big spillway.

That is Niagara Falls, "American Falls" to be specific.

If you go to
Thematic Wetness...If the Subject is Water, the very last posted image (as of this morning) is from the same visit, taken from the other end of the "American Falls."
