Glad you liked it, Walt. As far as wading in, I would love a few photos when you're ready to take a dip.
A curious phenomenon when I don a bathing suit to go wading in the ocean - all the other beach goers clear out, the females running and screaming with towels over their head, so I have the entire beach to myself. One of the privileges of old age.

The "Victoria pool" at Fairchild. Squint and you can see a little green heron on the center Victoria leaf (Victoria is the genus for those giant water lilies; these are middling-size, not big enough to support much more than the heron)

GEEEZZZ Louise!!! What an incredibly magnificent image. Certainly representative of "The Garden of Eden." I should know because I was there for the Grand Opening. ))

Very nice work and many thanks for the wonderful photographic treat.

<blush> Thank you, Tony. As I've noted before, having the right subject matter helps a great deal. And Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is, hands down, the right subject matter. The place is huge, and magnificent. One can waste a lot of film (or SD cards ) there. I know, I've done it!

A favorite spot along one of the places we walk, near the turn-back point (makes for a three mile hike). We've seen this stream completely dry (last year) and following a warm rain atop a snow pack, it became quite a torrent. This is probably the average Spring discharge.

Well, for once I am not sure I totally agree. Any subject matter we feel is shooting worthy is the right subject matter. What counts is what the shooter does with it and as is

evident, you certainly know what you are doing. You have a very good eye and therefore are a very talented and gifted photographer. Never, never sell yourself short and

please continue to provide wonderful viewing experiences.

cheer,

tony

Thanks, Tony. You flatter me...but you'll agree, some subjects are inherently more photogenic than others, and sometimes one stumbles on just the right light for even a mundane subject's enhancement. Many of your images are in that category... a rose is a rose, unless Tony's eye captures some magic about it...

Thanks a lot. I don't photograph waterfalls much so I really appreciate your comment
My pleasure...that looks like a very inviting, serene place in the woods, thanks for sharing it with us!

Part of a dam system that once provided water power to a major cloth manufacturing business.
