At Thanksgiving I rented the 16-85, and the only high-stop ND filter they had was one of those variable units that are two polarizers. Quickly realized that's not a great solution, the dueling polarizers make for weird color casts and inconsistent lighting across the frame.


But... using the thing for a long exposure on a waterfall and converting to monochrome gave me some shots that look right out of 1855.

That's a very pretty picture of a very pretty spot. Almost to perfect to be natural.
